woodspick.First-party visitor statistics
WoodsPick uses its own cookie-free statistics to understand which pages readers visit. When a page becomes visible, a small script sends the page path, a random page-view identifier, a temporary random session identifier and, when available, the referring website’s hostname to this website. We do not include URL queries, fragments, search text or comparison selections. The statistics database does not store visitor IP addresses, user-agent strings, email addresses or browser fingerprints. Reports cover the most recent 400 days. Older records become eligible for deletion and are removed in bounded batches as new visits arrive; deletion is not immediate when a record reaches that age.
A session identifier is kept in sessionStorage in the current browser tab. It is replaced after 30 minutes without a page view. It identifies a browsing session, not a person; different tabs or devices may count separately. Refreshing a visible page counts as another page view. Statistics begin when this feature was enabled on November 1, 2026, and cannot reconstruct earlier visits. Automated traffic is filtered where detectable, but these figures are not verified human readership.
Your choices
We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control when your browser exposes them. You can also exclude this browser from statistics or allow statistics again. This preference is stored in localStorage on this device. Statistics are skipped if browser storage is unavailable. There are no third-party advertising pixels or analytics services in these pages.
Search and comparisons
Search, review filters and comparisons run in your browser. We do not send search text or comparison selections to a server. Comparison choices may appear in the page URL, but statistics record only the page path.
Owner access
Only the website owner can view the statistics report after signing in with ChatGPT. The hosting service supplies account identity to authorize that access. Signed-in owner visits and visits from browsers that have opened the statistics page are excluded from the website’s visitor statistics.
Hosting and external websites
The hosting provider may separately process request logs and access-related cookies. See OpenAI’s privacy policy for the hosting service. External source and merchant websites apply their own privacy policies when you visit them.
Email correspondence
If you email WoodsPick, we receive the email address and message you choose to send. We use that information to handle your inquiry. Your email provider also processes the message under its own privacy policy.
